And 2021 was not kind to Stephen. His father, David, the founder of the company, passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. Infighting amongst siblings ensued, everyone wanting their cut. Adding insult to injury, a group of non-construction consultants hired by family members, unbeknownst to him, forced him to step down as president. As grief and conflict ripped through the family, the business suffered too: their Net Profit dropped down to 1.7%, and the business was hanging on by a thread. Fast forward two years, and the Osborne company is on trend to do north of 15MM, with a super healthy 15% net. The team is the happiest and most functional it’s ever been, and they’ve become of the largest EV charging station installers in the US.
